Frequently Asked Questions

Why Todd Stone and T.A. Stone?
I use different pen names for different genres. That way, I can look on the title page of a book I'm working on and see what it's about, depending on which name is there.

Where do you get your ideas?
That's the subject of a drill in Novelist's Boot Camp, but in general, look around. There are stories just crying to be written.

Would you review my manuscript/cover letter/synopsis etc?
No can do. My agent and the lawyers would have a fit. However, for an exorbitant fee, we may be persuaded to make an exception.

How exorbitant?
If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Will any of your books be made into movies?
Contact every producer you know...

What's worn under a kilt?
Nothing is worn--everything is in fine working shape, thank you.

When will we see another Jonathan Kraag book?
The reluctant profiler will be back, but there's a couple of other projects I'm working on now.

I can't find The Best Defense or KRIEGSPIEL on my local bookstore shelves.
Drop these folks an email. They'll get you a copy.

How can someone contact you?
The best way is to send me email.

Do you answer your email yourself?
My email gets culled of rude comments, business propositions, flames, spam, and so  on. I read everything else.
